Informed Health Solutions Awarded $10,000 in Marketing Services

EAG Advertising & Marketing (EAG) announced Informed Health Solutions (IHS) as the recipient of a $10,000 small business marketing package, including consulting and creative services. EAG, the only Kansas City ad agency dedicated to serving small businesses, decided to celebrate its “aluminum” anniversary by selecting a recent
Kauffman Foundation FastTrac program graduate’s business for marketing support and services.

Informed Health Solutions is a small, women-owned business. Its founders developed a
groundbreaking patient-led program that helps safely transition heart patients from hospital to home. Informed Health Solutions’ program typically reduces hospital readmissions by 30 to 60% for cardiac patients.

“As a freelance medical reporter, I noticed a pattern among recently discharged cardiac patients. Many returned home from the hospital overwhelmed, confused and isolated. We won a grant to address high readmission rates with cardiac patients and produced a series of videos, which led to our patient-led programs embedded into post-care clinics and groups. We’ve achieved a drastic reduction in readmissions and are looking forward to expanding our program to more facilities,” explained Elizabeth Blanchard Hills, Founder and President.

EAG was not the first to notice IHS. The company has gained the attention of other organizations too. IHS received a National Institutes of Health and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant, a 2012 HCA Innovator’s Award, a 2012 Overland Park Regional Medical Center’s Innovator’s Award and a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation 2013 “Care Transitions” Contest Semi-finalist award. IHS recently landed its pilot facility—the University of Kansas Hospital.

As EAG’s 10th anniversary marketing and advertising services recipient, IHS will receive tools and education from the agency’s team, each staff member having a passion for making small business miracles happen. Depending on IHS’s needs, the package could include:
• Professionally designed logo and identity package from our award-winning creative team
• Custom website, including 1-year of web hosting and a full content management system
• Social media training and account set-up, including Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn
• Small business marketing planning and training from award-winning consultants

“No party, balloons or hullabaloo. We decided to celebrate 10 successful years in the business by doing what we love and do best, guiding a small business owner to be a better marketer and build a better brand. It’s our way of giving back to the small business community that’s given so much to us over the last decade,” said Paul Weber, EAG president.

EAG chose a FastTrac graduate of the Kauffman Foundation because Weber has served as a Certified Facilitator and coach for the program for many years.

EAG fills a large void in the advertising and marketing field by specifically focusing on small, high growth potential businesses like IHS expand their brand by becoming their full-service outsourced marketing department.
